How we protect your data
Stored in the UK and EU
Personal data is held on infrastructure in the UK and EU, with signed data processing agreements with every provider we use.
Sealed records
Every incident, refusal and decision is signed and chained when it’s saved. Any later change is recorded alongside the original, never written over it.
Purpose before access
Sensitive records can only be opened for a stated reason, and that reason is logged before anyone sees the data.
People decide
Vigil never refuses entry, contacts the police or reveals someone’s identity on its own. A person always makes the call.
Hold only what you must
Retention policies delete or anonymise each type of data when its lawful reason runs out, and you can see every policy in one place.
Built for data requests
Subject access requests are tracked against the one-month legal deadline, and the full package can be built from one screen.
